Heart Disease Risk Factors

For somebody who is aiming to prevent himself from acquiring problems  with the heart, it would be best to start off by knowing the heart  disease risk factors. You can hardly get away from this disease if you just  learned and realized the heart disease risk factors too late. Thus, one is advised to be knowledgeable about this and apply such information into one’s life.

The ultimate risk factor is fatty food. Since people could hardly say  no to fatty food like dessert and meaty foods, they have been exposed to  the dangers of heart disease. Experts claimed that a person who is  fond of eating fatty foods all the time, these fats would be directed to  the person’s blood stream and will later cause clogging up of the blood  flow. Due to this phenomenon, an expected circumstance is the abnormal  rising of blood pressure as well as the rising of LDL cholesterol.

The build up of cholesterol and blood pressure, could lead to heart  attack. This makes too much intake of fatty food as a major heart disease  risk factor. This is the very reason why a perso will need to have a regular check up of his cholesterol level as well as blood pressure level every now and then to control the kind of food taken in. The doctor would normally recommend some medication if he found some abnormal increase of cholesterol and blood pressure in the patient. This is one way of  preventing a further operation known as bypass surgery which usually  happens when the person is detected to have such disease very late.

Another heart disease risk factor is genetics. There are some people who have been eating healthily and exercising regularly but still diagnosed to have some problems with the heart. This is because the person has  a family member who has a heart disease history and that would qualify him to inherit such disease. It would then be advised to someone to immediately seek medical help once he learned that a part of the family has had a trace of such disease.

The third heart disease risk factor is smoking. This has been one of the hardest to cut habit in one’s life. People who have been diagnosed  with heart disease must strictly say goodbye to cigarette smoking as this could trigger and worsen such disease. Experts claimed that the  carcinogen that is found in a cigarette is the very content that could trigger and cause heart disease.
